With Anna and Daniel

Anna and Daniel were our beach guests to the hidden beach. We love this beach because it is such a nice place and yet so few people ever seem to be on it. This is a Saturday, and we saw maybe 10 people max I think. We thought it might rain at first, but it ended up being a perfect day, not hot, not cold, a little breeze. Gwen and Daniel look at a little crab.
A composite of Anna, Daniel and Gwen, and the surrounding area (457k). Gwen stayed on the beach, and Daniel and I decided to run ahead to the water's edge. Turning back, Anna is already a little red ant. and we are still far away from the edge of this sandbar!
The same pic of Anna with more width added on. Daniel and I are mud and water all over from running, especially Daniel. But my motto is "You know you have had fun if you are a mess" so I know we had fun.
A huge ship was out there. It turned around 90 degrees but didn't seem to go anywhere. Maybe it's stuck! Daniel shows me his wonderful hand.

We JUST reach the edge where the water gets slightly deeper and ripples in the breeze. We can still go out quite a ways to another sandbar before finally hitting some depth. You can see the edge here, the ripples on the right compared to the glassy still waters on the left.
I saw a seagull pecking at something, and then saw legs go up in the air - a crab. We ran over to rescue it. He has barnacles, & we name him Barnacle Billy. We took him out to the deepest part we dared go and set him free. Who knows, maybe one day we shall meet him again at Haggens? In the deeper waters, Daniel found a surf board and busted some moves.
Wow, Daniel, you didn't tell us you were a professional!

Meanwhile, beware of woman with big sticks.
Wow, look what popped up when you weren't lookin'!
