This is the dark and fabled rift-valley of Primordia, home of the archetypal Banshee and rumored location of the temple of Banubey, forbidden deity of darkness and gadgets.


Primordia is a metaroom I originally created for the 2008 Creatures Community Spirit Festival. It has a distinctive prehistoric flavor, comes complete with new critters, plants and toys, and was originally intended to provide a more comfortable home for the Banshee Grendel breed. When Primordia is injected into the game, a teleporter appears right next to the Banshee Grendel Stone, giving baby Banshee Grendels quick and easy access to the room. The new metaroom gives them a place to "be themselves", providing toys specially designed for Grendels, and an all-you-can-eat buffet of tasty Fungoo fruits.

It came to my attention a few months after release that there were certain problems with the metaroom. Some of the objects weren't working correctly and there were reports of a "fruit pileup" underneath the temple which halted the growth cycle of the Fungoo plants and left Creatures hungry and unable to reach the food.

I have now created a new version of Primordia in which these problems are fixed. I have also made a few other improvements. The temple now acts as an incubator, and a brand new kind of critter is included with the room. To anyone who has downloaded the original version of Primordia that was released during the CCSF, I encourage you to download the updated version!



Important instructions!
I strongly recommend that you delete the old Primordia agent file from your My Agents folder before injecting the new one into your game. Also be sure to delete the "primordia.catalogue" file out of your Docking Station/Catalogue folder. Your game may not work correctly if you don't.
